How to be a smart student

Start Meeting And Reading Together

How to be a smart student

Everyone hope to be a smart student but not many can do it. Therefore i wrote this article to help those who wanted to be a smart student.
Who is a smart student and how to be one of them?
Smart students are student who are considered better than the other students. They are also said to have better brains and some say they are clever. I can say that this is not the fact as everyone begin from nothing when they were delivered to the world.
Therefore everyone can be a smart student if you work for it. But the question is how to be one of them? This is one of the most common questions asked but not many people knew the answer. The only way to be a smart student is by studying using visual. An experiment had been conducted and it is prove that a human can remember visual better than words. Therefore, we should always use different visual such as pictures.
On top of that, we must also always repeat our studied subject for many times, at least 45-50 times. This may sound impossible to be heard but it can be done easily if you constantly do it. It may used up a lot of time the first time you read it but the time will shorten when you do it the second time. When you repeat it for many times, you will see that you only need a short amount of time to finish reading it. By that time, you will be able to answer most of the question which is similar to the notes you read.

Why is junk food bad for you?

Why is junk food bad for you?

Garbage In Garbage Out!

My long time passion is food and its amazing ability to help deal with many medical conditions. That's why I'm known as The Food Physician. So, as the debate about obesity rages on both sides of the Atlantic, people are increasingly asking me, "Why is junk food bad for you?". After all, junk food is nice and cheap. In fact, the proportion of the income people spend on food has been falling for many years. That must surely be a good thing, so what's the problem?

The problem is, it's just too much of a good thing. If something sounds too good to be true, it usually is, so let's examine one reason why junk food is so cheap.

I don't deny junk food is very cheap, particularly when compared with organic food. But, if you've ever wondered is organic food better for you, let me give you an illustration.

The Importance Of Reading

The Importance Of Reading
It is a well-known fact that when there were no televisions or computers, reading was a primary leisure activity. People would spend hours reading books and travel to lands far away-in their minds. The only tragedy is that, with time, people have lost their skill and passion to read. There are many other exciting and thrilling options available, aside from books. And that is a shame because reading offers a productive approach to improving vocabulary and word power. It is advisable to indulge in at least half an hour of reading a day to keep abreast of the various styles of writing and new vocabulary.
It is observed that children and teenagers who love reading have comparatively higher IQs. They are more creative and do better in school and college. It is recommended that parents to inculcate the importance of reading to their children in the early years. Reading is said to significantly help in developing vocabulary, and reading aloud helps to build a strong emotional bond between parents and children. The children who start reading from an early age are observed to have good language skills, and they grasp the variances in phonics much better.
Reading helps in mental development and is known to stimulate the muscles of the eyes. Reading is an activity that involves greater levels of concentration and adds to the conversational skills of the reader. It is an indulgence that enhances the knowledge acquired, consistently. The habit of reading also helps readers to decipher new words and phrases that they come across in everyday conversations. The habit can become a healthy addiction and adds to the information available on various topics. It helps us to stay in-touch with contemporary writers as well as those from the days of yore and makes us sensitive to global issues.

How To Study

Improving Concentration

Student, Concentrating, Studying Many students have difficulty concentrating while studying. Being able to concentrate while you are studying is essential to doing well in class and on tests.
Here are 10 suggestions for improving your study concentration:
  • Study in a quiet place that is free from distractions and interruptions. Try to create a space designated solely for studying.
  • Make a study schedule that shows what tasks you need to accomplish and when you plan to accomplish each task. This will provide you with the structure you need for effective studying.
  • Try to study at the time of day you work best. Some people work well early in the morning, others late at night. You know what works best for you.
  • Make sure you are not tired and/or hungry when you study. Otherwise, you won't have the energy you need to concentrate. Also, maintain your physical fitness.
  • Don't try to do two tasks at the same time. You won't be able to concentrate on either one very well. Concentration means focusing on one thing to the exclusion of all else.
  • Break large tasks into series of smaller tasks that you can complete one at a time. If you try to complete a large task all at once, you may feel overwhelmed and will be unable to maintain your concentration.
  • Relax. It's hard to concentrate when you're tense. It's important to relax when working on a task that requires concentration. Meditation is helpful to many students.
  • Clear your mind of worrisome thoughts. Mental poise is important for concentration. You can get distracted by your own thoughts. Monitor your thoughts and prevent yourself from following any that take you off track. Don't daydream.
  • Develop an interest in what you are studying. Try to relate what you are studying to you own life to make it as meaningful as possible. This can motivate yourself to concentrate.
  • Take breaks whenever you feel fatigued. There is no set formula for when to take breaks. You will know when you need to take a break.
Studying without concentration is like trying to fill a bucket with water when the bucket has a hole in its bottom. It doesn't work.  Read More..
